On Friday, Governor Roy Cooper issued a Stay at Home order that is effective for thirty days. Businesses that meet social distancing requirements. A COVID-19 Essential Business and Operation includes businesses that conduct operations while maintaining Social Distancing Requirements (i) between and among its employees; and (ii) between and among employees and customers except at the point of sale or purchase.
Social Distancing Requirements. As used in the Executive Order, Social Distancing Requirements include (i) maintaining at least six (6) feet distancing from other individuals; (ii) washing hands using soap and water for at least twenty (20) seconds as frequently as possible or the use of hand sanitizer; (iii) regularly cleaning high-touch surfaces; and (iv) facilitating online or remote access by customers, if possible.
What does this mean for our customers? The Vapor Shoppe is classified as a COVID-19 Essential Business and Operation as we are conducting business in a manner that meets social distancing requirements. We have designated the required six feet of separation between customers and employees within our stores by tape placement. We are also limiting the number of customers allowed within the store to five at one time in order to maintain the required six feet of separation between customers. Our stores will operate with one employee per shift to limit contact. If we have reached the maximum number of customers in the store, we request that you wait in your vehicle. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause; however, we are taking these steps for your safety and the safety of our employees.
